Senior Treasury Analyst
RELIANCE FINANCIAL
Company Profile:
Reliance Financial is a privately held finance company dedicated to providing working capital funding solutions to small and medium-sized businesses. The Senior Treasury Analyst will report to the CFO and work closely with the COO, servicing and operations teams, the outsourced accounting team, the CTO function, and company leadership. The role requires enough technical depth to build and maintain automated reconciliation, and enough operational understanding to see how a cash break affects investors, reporting, and lender compliance.
Core Responsibilities
Reconciliation
- Perform daily cash reconciliations across all operating entities and bank accounts.
- Reconcile merchant ACH collections, returns, and NACHA batch files to bank deposits; identify and resolve unmatched items, returned ACH, and timing differences.
- Manage the daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations and distributions for our co-investors.
- Prepare month-end bank and cash reconciliations for close with our outsourced accounting team; clear aged reconciling items.
- Maintain a reconciliation exceptions log with root cause, owner, and resolution date; report trends to the CFO.
Treasury Management System and Automation
- Administer the TMS day to day, including bank connectivity, account setup, user roles, approval workflows, and payment templates.
- Configure auto-matching and categorization rules in the TMS; measure and raise auto-match rates over time.
- Leverage AI tools to connect the TMS, CRM, and the accounting system for reconciliation and reporting.
- Lead treasury system projects, including requirements, testing, documentation, and rollout of new integrations, and support any future accounting platform migration.
Payments and Controls
- Execute and verify wires and ACH payments through the TMS under dual-authorization controls.
- Maintain co-investor and vendor beneficiary templates; change banking details only on verified official notice.
- Document treasury procedures and system controls, including access, approvals, and segregation of duties, for audit, lender, and cyber reviews.
Cash Reporting and Forecasting
- Build and run the weekly cash flow forecast with reconciled actuals and forecast-to-actual variance analysis.
- Support ad hoc analysis for the CFO and executive team.
